Tentang Lomba

It all started with the HMT-ITB team participating in the 1996 AusIMM Students Mining Competition

organized by the University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane, Australia. This experience gave

HMT-ITB good inspiration to organize a similar competition on a national scale in Indonesia. To

realize this inspiration, HMT-ITB organized the first ISMC in 1998. After that, ISMC has become a

regular agenda item of HMT-ITB, which is held regularly every two years and has now entered its 14th

event in 2024. This long journey has strengthened ISMC's position as the most prestigious mining

competition in Indonesia. One aspect that sets ISMC apart from other mining competitions is its focus

on developing practical and realistic mining skills. This aspect has become a characteristic of the ISMC

identity and a means of honoring the predecessors who created and shared the spirit of the competition,

as well as a source of inspiration for the next generation, which will continue the ISMC tradition into

the future. The longing for friendship between mining student associations in Indonesia was interrupted

by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, in early 2024, ISMC will be held for the 14th time and will be

held offline.

Theme

The big theme of the 14th ISMC was "Mine the Future: Embracing Unity, Knowledge, and Excellence

at the 14th ISMC". The meaning of the theme is to emphasize the importance of mining the potential of

the future through unity, knowledge, and excellence embodied in the 14th ISMC event. In this context,

"mine" describes the effort to explore the potential of human resources, both in terms of increasing

knowledge and relationships between participants, with the aim of achieving a successful and

sustainable future for the mining industry.

Administrative Requirements

1. To fill the fundamental form on the website, including:

a. To fill the name of the team.

     i. It is prohibited to contain elements of SARA and bad words.

     ii. It is prohibited to contain elements of the relevant university.

     iii. It is prohibited to use punctuation marks (@, #, $, %, ~, etc)

     iv. The number of letters allowed is 4-16.

b. To choose the citizenship.

c. To fill the name of the university origin.

d. To fill the university address.

2. To fill the Participant’s Biodata, including:

a. Name

b. Student’s ID Number

c. Student's ID Card

d. Email

e. Phone Number

f. Formal Photo (3x4 cm)

g. Blood Types

h. History of Illness

3. To attach a statement of participant regarding participants’ commitment in the competition.

5. To attach the latest Health Statement Letter from the legal medical institutes that is made from

January 1st, 2024. (Deadline: January 12 th, 2024).
